The
Elements of Life
Without Earth, Air, Fire,
Water, and Spirit we have no Life.
It takes each of
these, in equal balance, to sustain and nurture life,
they encompass the All.
These Elements
acknowledged, empower us and keep us anchored to this
Earth,
with the Air giving us breath,
the Water quenching our thirst,
the Fire warming our hearts,
with Spirit connecting us to the Divine.
Everywhere is
sacred space,
in acknowledging and recognising all the
Elements in balance
we allow ourselves to see and live the
sanctity around us.
Within our Circle, for this space of time, we are
one in honour and intent.
So mote it
be. |

Spirit
Element of
Divinity
Spirit is the
Centre
It is
unification, magic, transformation.
Spirit is before
birth and after death, it is infinite.
Spirit is the
spiral, it is the cauldron, it is change.
Without Spirit
there is no colour, there is no emotion.
Without Spirit
there is no love and no honour.
Spirit is Life
itself |
Water
Element of Fertility
Water is the
beginning of life, she is Mother.
With water
we purify
both body and soul.
Water bears life
within it, it provides sustenance.
It's water that
transports the seed of life,
water that buoys it
within
the womb,
water that carries
nourishment to both plant and animal
alike.
Water is Autumn rain
and sunset.
Without water
we thirst.
Our emotions
would have no depth, our world
would not exist, time would
not flow |

|
Fire
Element of Transformation
With Fire we warm
our homes, we cook our food, we light our night.
Fire is Male,
personified in the heat of the day and Summer of the Year.
Without Fire our
passion would not burn, our world would not exist.
Water would not move, Air would not rise, Earth would not live.
|
Earth
Element of Home
It is
Earth we live on, it is Earth we grow our food in, it is Earth we
build our shelters from, it is Earth we ground ourselves in.
Earth is
all things feminine, Spring of the Year and dawn of our day.
Without
Earth we starve.
Without
Earth we have no direction, we have no ground

|
Air
Element of Intellect
Air is the breath of life
With Air we share our thoughtd and our dreams, upon the currents of Air
our thoughts soar.
Air is Father Sky, Air is the cold of Winter.
Air is midnight.
Without Air we suffocate, without Air life cannot exist, without the
fresh breeze we would parch
